About Max Adarme

I'm a designer from the Philippines, currently residing in New York City.

A deep appreciation for textiles and indigenous culture in my home country served as the catalyst to my career in fashion. Learning to weave and embroider in the traditional style led me to Japan, where I sought to master my knowledge of artisanal crafts. I learned to speak, read, and write in Japanese before enrolling in the prestigious Bunka Fashion College. The experience of living and studying in Japan informs every aspect of my design process, from concept through to execution. I hope to pioneer new ideas in design and construction while honoring the slow process of creation that inspired me from the very start.
